What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a technology that provides a regularly updated summary of web content, along with links to the full versions of that content. RSS allows web sites to easily push content to subscribers directly. Subscribers are instantly updated with the latest information and news from that web site.
How do I use RSS?
To view and subscribe to RSS, you will need to install a news reader that displays RSS feeds from the Web sites you select. Like an email program or a Web browser, the news reader serves as a kind of information portal, and provides a real-time interface to the feeds you select. Once the RSS reader is set up to access a feed, it will continually poll the RSS feeds for the latest updates. Most major e-mail and Internet Service Providers offer RSS for their users.
Both Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 include a news reader, and a number of free and commercial news readers are available for download. For more information regarding RSS and to find a news reader application, visit http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-readers.htm
NGJ currently provides one RSS feed. Keep checking this page as we will update it with the latest feeds we make available.
To receive one of the NGJ RSS feeds, Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 users can click on the button next to the desired RSS feed. For RSS readers that need the URL, right click the button next to the desired RSS feed, select copy Shortcut, and paste the shortcut it into your RSS reader.
